Jandia

Jandía

It is one of the most recommended visits for your holidays on Fuerteventura. In addition, to really know it, it is necessary to spend at least 2 or 3 days there. It is located in the south of Fuerteventura and has an area of 200 square kilometers, with places as interesting to visit as the beach of Cofete, the town of Morrojable or the Lighthouse of Jandia, not to be missed!

Where should I start visiting Jandia?

This is one of the most frequent questions when you visit the south of Fuerteventura, but the first thing you should know is that the best place to stay is in Morrojable. It's calm, not very crowded and it's a beautiful place to stay in Fuerteventura with lots of cheap accommodation options all over Jandía Avenue.

What to do and see?

You can't miss Cofete beach, one of the most impressive and desolate beaches in Fuerteventura. We recommend that you spend the day there as the journey from Morrojable is at least 1 hour on an unpaved road and it is a place worth spending the whole day.

If you visit the town of Morrojable you will certainly not be able to avoid taking a swim at Morrojable's beach: a beautiful spot in the south of Fuerteventura. It is one of the most charming villages in Fuerteventura, its street, its people get you and make it one of your best experiences on the island. Take a coffee in the square, walk along Morrojable Avenue until you reach the lighthouse, sailing on a boat around the coast of Jandia, etc. Everyone who visits Morrojable ends up falling in love.

Costa Calma and its beaches for surf lovers. A must-see for those who love all surfing sports. A worldwide location with an outstanding event such as the Windsurfing World Championship celebrates every year in July and August. Two months in which the world''s best in the different categories meet and it is a great opportunity to see them in action. In Costa Calma, besides being one of the great tourist epicentres of Fuerteventura, you can find the beach of La Barca and Playas de Sotavento, among many others: beaches of turquoise water and golden sand but with some wind, something to keep in mind.

Small beaches on the coast of Jandia: In addition to the giant beaches of Jandia, there are small beaches that hide a special charm as Butihondo or Esquinzo. Depending on the time you have, enjoy at least a few hours on these beautiful beaches, they are spectacular!
