LABOUR CALENDAR 2020 FUERTEVENTURA

The annual labour calendar is a document that establishes the labour holidays in the country and is published in the Official State Bulletin before the beginning of the year.

As is the case every year, Spain has several national holidays that govern the days on which people do not work in all Autonomous Communities. In addition, each community can choose its own holidays and, in our case, the islands and the municipalities that make them up also have their own local holidays, which are usually chosen around the holidays of the Virgin or the Patron Saint of each municipality.

Here we leave you with the list of Fuerteventura's public holidays for 2020, which includes both national and local festivals of the Virgin; the following days are included:

January 1st: New Year's Day
January 6: Epiphany
9 April: Holy Thursday
April 10: Good Friday
May 1st: Labor Day
May 30: Canary Islands Day
15 August: Assumption of the Virgin
September 18, the feast of Nuestra Señora de la Peña.
12 October: Day of the Hispanic community
December 7: The Constitution (moved to Monday)
December 8: The Immaculate Conception
December 25: Christmas
