WEATHER IN FUERTEVENTURA

Fuerteventura is the oldest of all the islands belonging to the Canary Archipelago and is considered one of the Fortunate Islands due to its subtropical climate, not only because of its geolocation but also because of the influence of the Alisios Winds and the scarce rainfall it receives throughout the year.

Temperatures hardly vary depending on the season, remaining between 22ºC and 24ºC in winter, and a little higher than 27ºC - 29ºC in summer. Moreover, the fact that it practically does not rain makes it the driest island of the Canaries, leaving us with almost desert images and arid and volcanic landscapes; which contrasts with islands like La Palma where everything is greener. The luck of the islands and their microclimates!

But what does microclimate mean? On any of the Canary Islands we have areas where it can perfectly be raining in the countryside and on the coast making a splendid day at the beach, we are a miniature continent!

Fuerteventura is, without a doubt, synonymous with calm and tranquillity as many visitors come to disconnect from the island, thanks to the fact that its atmosphere is far away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. Enjoy tourism in the most emblematic towns and villages of the island such as Betancuria, Morro Jable or Puerto del Rosario; visit the Sacred Mountain of Tindaya; sail to Islote de Lobos, discover its coves or get lost in the dunes of its long golden sand beaches, you can even practice water sports in them such as snorkelling or windsurfing: whatever your plan is, you can do it here thanks to the good weather that will be with you 365 days a year in all the areas, tourist or not, of the island.
