Once the group has gathered in Maspalomas we will leave towards the ravine of the Lomos de Pedro Alfonso, contemplating spectacular views towards the ravine of Aguineguin, to arrive at the Chira dam, built between 1941 and 1944, but it was in 1965 when the definitive project was concluded, giving it the aspect that it presents at the present time. It is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular and beautiful works of civil engineering in the islands, offering a unique landscape in this side of Gran Canaria. This place has a typical climate of the southern midlands, is immersed in the Biosphere Reserve of Gran Canaria and in the Nublo Rural Park, one of the most unique places on the island.

We continue towards the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana to reach Tunte, its capital, where we will visit the old town and its church. We continue our route to the ravine of the thousand palm trees to reach the beautiful village of Fataga, who wish to eat something in the typical restaurants in the area. The last stop will be at the viewpoint of Las Moscas where you can take pictures of the valley and see Maspalomas Dunes. From here we will head back to the hotels, ending the excursion. |

Fabulous time yesterday on the jeep safari, would never have had the opportunity to see this side of the island, the views were simply breath taking and stunning, Our driver Orquídea was absolutely lovely , cheerful, knowledgeable and great fun, she certainly made the day, one to remember. Would highly recommend, don’t miss it!
