Prices in Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria is one of the best places to live, and not only because of its weather, but also of its prices.

If we compare the Canary Islands with with the rest Spanish territory, one could say that it has similar prices but fortunately, in the islands you can get some advantages in certain products such as gasoline, taxi rides or the price of tobacco among others; due to the lower taxes we have.

Here we give you some examples of what we told you above:

Food and drink prices:

Main dishes in a normal restaurant: The prices can vary depending on the area you are in. They are approximately between 6 and 12 €
Desserts between 3 - 6 €
Dinner for two in a restaurant: 25 - 40 €

Means of transport prices:

Bus Ticket: 1.80 € + a plus depending on the zone you are from and where you are going to.
Initial taxi fare: 2,9 5€ and a supplement of about 3 € per kilometre.

Accommodation prices:

If you want a double room in a cheap hotel in one of the most touristic areas in the island the prices are from 50€ depending on the season. In summer and winter the prices are higher than in Autum due to the turism.
If you prefer to stay in a highly recommended hotel in touristic areas the prices start from 80€ per night.

These prices are informative and they can change depends not only the season but the facilities you want to have: breakfast, all inclusive, balcony room…

So in Gran Canaria you have lots of different options to choose depending on your budget, preferences and desires.
