Maspalomas Dunes are one of the symbols of the Island. This natural space is unique for its beauty and variety of ecosystems and was declared a Special Nature Reserve. It has 400 hectares that house a magnificent beach, a large field of Dunes formed completely by organic sand, the well-known Maspalomas Oasis and a forest of Palms.

This enclave situated between Playa del Inglés and Maspalomas is surrounded by numerous hotel complexes, which is why the influx of visitors who come to enjoy the beautiful view of these golden sand mountains. And when you finish, you can take a walk along the kilometer long coast enjoying the pleasant temperatures that the island has, around 23ºC in winter and 30ºC in summer, to end up having a cool drink in any of the many bars and restaurants that are located both in the avenue of Playa del Inglés and in Faro de Maspalomas. This last one is another of the favourite places for visitors due to its proximity to the dunes and Charca de Maspalomas as well as the gastronomic offer of the maritime avenue; where you will find entertainment for young and old and perfect places to continue filling your holiday photo album.

The current human contact and the footsteps on top of these dunes have made their height decrease each year, however this doesn’t change the pretty landcape that this small desert in Gran Canaria can give us.
