Discover the essence of Lanzarote on our exclusive semi-private minibus tour, dedicated to the work of the celebrated artist César Manrique. With a small group, you will enjoy a more personalised and comfortable experience as we explore emblematic places such as the César Manrique Foundation, the Mirador del Río, the Cactus Garden, the Jameos del Agua and the Monumento al Campesino. Each stop offers a unique connection between art, nature and Manrique's creative vision, allowing you to appreciate his impact on the island in a closer and more intimate way.

César Manrique Foundation

The first stop on our tour is the César Manrique Foundation, located in his former residence in Tahíche. This house, built on a solidified lava field, is a perfect example of the integration between architecture and nature. Designed by Manrique himself, it combines traditional Lanzarote elements with a modern and functional style. A tour of the Foundation will give you an insight into his life, his most emblematic projects and his commitment to the conservation of the island. The five volcanic bubbles that form part of the structure will surprise you, while the contemporary art exhibitions, which include works by Picasso and Miró, add a unique cultural touch.

Mirador del Río

Our second stop takes us to the Mirador del Río, one of the most impressive places designed by Manrique. Located on the Risco de Famara, more than 400 metres above sea level, this viewpoint offers spectacular views of the Chinijo archipelago, including the islands of La Graciosa, Montaña Clara and Alegranza. The most surprising thing is how the viewpoint blends in with its surroundings thanks to its design camouflaged in the rock. From inside, decorated with large windows and organic shapes, you will have an unforgettable perspective of the surrounding landscape. It is an ideal place to understand Manrique's ability to combine art and nature, always respecting the environment.

Cactus Garden

Our next stop is the Cactus Garden, located in the municipality of Guatiza. This space, which used to be an abandoned quarry, was transformed by Manrique into a botanical garden that houses more than 4,500 cacti of more than 450 species from different parts of the world. The amphitheatre-like structure takes advantage of the original terrain and creates a unique environment, where every corner looks like a living work of art. In addition, the garden features a restored windmill that towers over the site, offering an enchanting panoramic view. Here you can appreciate how Manrique turned a degraded space into a symbol of beauty and sustainability.

Jameos del Agua

We continue to the Jameos del Agua, one of the most fascinating and magical places in Lanzarote. This space, created inside a volcanic tube, is a perfect union between Manrique's artistic intervention and the natural formations of the island. As you enter the jameos, you will find an interior lake of crystalline waters, home to albino crabs, a unique species in the world. The site also has a natural auditorium, famous for its excellent acoustics and where cultural events are held. The contrast between the volcanic rock, vegetation and architectural elements make this stop an unforgettable experien

Monument to the Peasant

The last stop on the tour is the Monumento al Campesino, a tribute to the farmers of Lanzarote and their hard work to make the most of the inhospitable volcanic terrain. Located in the centre of the island, this architectural ensemble combines traditional and modern elements, with a central 15-metre sculpture made from recycled water tanks. The site also houses a museum that exhibits agricultural tools, local traditions and the history of farming in Lanzarote. Here you can discover the connection between art and the cultural identity of the island, which Manrique has always strived to preserve.

This semi-private minibus tour will allow you to enjoy each stop in peace and quiet, avoiding the crowds typical of larger tours. The experience is designed to offer you a closer and more authentic perspective of César Manrique's work, as well as the natural and cultural beauty of Lanzarote. Throughout the tour, you will be accompanied by a professional guide who will provide you with detailed explanations, anecdotes and curiosities about each place, helping you to understand Manrique's impact on the island. In addition to the aforementioned stops, you will have the opportunity to admire Lanzarote's unique volcanic landscapes as you move from one point to another. From black lava fields to golden sandy beaches, the island is an open-air museum that perfectly matches Manrique's artistic vision.
