Get to know the islet of Lobos in our activity from Lanzarote and enjoy its golden sandy beaches and crystal clear waters.
Do you want to discover the Islote de Lobos Natural Park in one day? Hop on board and discover this protected spot in the north of the island of Fuerteventura!
Our activity starts with the pick up from the tourist areas in the direction of the Playa Blanca Pier from where we will take the ferry to Corralejo. Once there, we will board the WaterTaxi to go to the Islote de Lobos where we will enjoy several hours of free time to explore the island.
We recommend you to bring trainers and walk along the roads (or rent a bike in Fuerteventura and take it on board) to get to the other side of the island where the lighthouse of Punta Martiño awaits you.
Along the way you will find different coves and golden sandy beaches where you can snorkel thanks to the crystalline colour of its waters: do you know the marine biodiversity that makes up this Natural Park? Don't hesitate to follow the circular route for its almost 8kms: it will only take you about 2 hours to get to know it in depth!
This islet of contrasts also offers you La Caldera: an enclave of volcanic rocks that is crowned as the highest point of Lobos. The views from here are incredible because you can see Lobos, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote in the background.
On your way back to the start, don't forget to stop off at Las Lagunitas, a bay with small natural pools where you can relax and get rid of the heat.
If you prefer, you can enjoy a day at the beach in El Puertito, five minutes from the pier where we disembark when we reach the islet. Here you can swim and snorkel or have your photo taken on the popular wooden pier with the turquoise waters in the background. On the way there you can also enter the Visitor Centre and enjoy an exhibition of photos and maps of the islet throughout its history.
The last places we recommend you visit are La Concha Beach, undoubtedly the best on the island, and Las Salinas.
Lunchtime arrives and we suggest a plan: what better than tasting fresh fish with mojo sauce or a paella overlooking the sea? Of course, don't forget to ask for your turn as soon as you arrive on the islet, as it is very busy and there are only three times for lunch.
Without a doubt, the Islote de Lobos Natural Park has many possibilities to offer you, choose your route and enjoy exploring this paradisiacal enclave at your own pace!
*You can choose between the available timetables for your return to Corralejo. If you decide to come at an earlier time than the last one (16:15h), you will have free time in Corralejo.
Itinerary 7 - 8 hours approx:
- Transfer from the tourist areas to the dock of Playa Blanca (08:00h - 09:00h)
- Ferry from Playa Blanca to Corralejo (approx. 25 minutes) - 09:30h
- Water taxi from Corralejo to Islote de Lobos (15 mins) - 10:00h
- Free time until return*.
- Water Taxi Lobos - Corralejo
- Ferry Corralejo - Playa Blanca (17:30h)
- Transfer back to the hotels (18:00h approx.)
*There are various timetables to and from Lobos. Once you arrive in Corralejo choose the one you prefer and notify the WaterTaxi captain.
