Did you know that the COVID certificate came into force on Friday 10 December in the Canary Islands?
In this blog post, we tell you everything you need to know about this new measure so that you can enjoy a safe and responsible Christmas in our islands. 

As reported by the Ministry of Health: "On Friday 10 December, the implementation of the COVID certificate came into force in the Canary Islands, this new measure will be of voluntary use, for sectors that are subject to restrictions on capacity or schedules. This measure, which has been accepted by the High Court of Justice of the Canary Islands, comes into force after publication in the Official Bulletin of the Canary Islands". The measure proposed by the Regional Ministry runs until 10 January and may be extended if necessary. 
The premises and activities that apply for a Covid certificate will be able to extend the opening hours and capacity established in the lower level of the island. In the case of phase 1, there would be no restriction. 

To prove vaccination, the official certificate must be shown electronically or physically (printed), which will be valid 14 days after the last dose. It is also possible to show a negative PCR or antigen test result within 48 hours of the last dose. Self-diagnostic tests are not admissible.
