Costa Teguise

What to see and do in Costa Teguise!

Together with Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca it is the main tourist centre of Lanzarote. Located in the municipality of Teguise in the east of the island and north of Arrecife, Costa Teguise has all the necessary facilities to spend a great holiday in Lanzarote. The proximity to Arrecife, the wide range of hotels, restaurants and leisure facilities, as well as all the tourist attractions available make Costa Teguise one of the most important and most visited places on Lanzarote.

Costa Teguise appears in all the guides of Lanzarote as one of the main options to spend your holidays on the island. This is due to all the options that Costa Teguise has to offer. Here are some recommendations if you decide to spend your holidays in Costa Teguise:

Don't miss the beautiful beaches of Costa Teguise

If there is one thing that distinguishes Costa Teguise, it's the beautiful beaches that everyone talks about, which seem to be suitable for all preferences. Just look at all the options you got to choose from!

  • Las Cucharas Beach: Peace and relaxation at the palm of your hand! This avenue is full of bars and restaurants and a wide range of water sports, perfect for families with children. Also, if you love sports like windsurfing, surfing or kitesurfing, there are few better beaches than this one in Lanzarote to practice them.
  • El Jablillo Beach: A pleasing little spot in the middle of Costa Teguise. Warm and crystalline waters await you on this small beach ideal for children. Many fishes live on the shore of this beach and the fact that there are hardly any waves makes this beach have the perfect characteristics for snorkeling.
  • Los Charcos beach: It is almost an extension of the beach of Las Cucharas, though a bit smaller (barely 300 meters long). It has mainly the same characteristics so it's highly recommended if you'd like some more privacy.
  • Playa Bastián: This is the most popular beach for tourists, where you can find sunbeds and parasols at an affordable price. Although it has bits of sand, it is mainly a rocky beach. It's easily accessible by public transport and has a nice promenade.

Sailor's Village, a cozy corner built by Manrique

As it could not be otherwise, César Manrique also left his mark in the town of Costa Teguise. This time, he created an area tailor-made for visitors of Lanzarote, where he gives them the possibility to spend a pleasant afternoon in one of the bars or restaurants in the area while contemplating a beautiful sunset in an idyllic setting and perfectly integrated into the characteristics of Costa Teguise. No doubt, a place you can't miss in your visit!
