Shopping in Lanzarote

Lanzarote offers multiple options for shopping on your holiday in Canary Islands. Here you can get all kinds of local products: gastronomy, cosmetics, fabrics, products made with Canarian raw materials such as aloe vera, cork, palm leaves or leather as well as the many brand shops and firms both nationally and internationally.

You can choose to visit one of the many well known markets of Lanzarote. Among them are two that stand out: the market in Playa Blanca and the market in Teguise.

The market in Playa Blanca is located in Marina Rubicón in the south of Lanzarote. Here you can enjoy a walk along the promenade while you do your shopping. Walk through the streets and get to know the local culture: shops and stalls with handicrafts and gastronomy. Do you know Aloe Vera? This native plant has many properties, do not hesitate to try its creams and products. You can also taste goat cheese (known worldwide), red or green mojo with wrinkled potatoes and above all La Geria wine or any of our wine cellars with denomination of origin.

At Mercado de Teguise, it's the same: you have at your fingertips a wide range of local and handmade products as well as gastronomy while enjoying the history of the island in the old capital of Lanzarote. Without a doubt, these two options are very good for a different kind of shopping!

If you prefer to visit shops of national and international brands, you also have at your disposal a wide range of shops and commercial areas all over the island.

Starting with the shopping centres on the island we have two very important ones: Deiland in Playa Honda and Biosfera, an open-air shopping centre in Puerto del Carmen; where you will find a variety of fashion and food shops of top brands.

If, on the other hand, you want to stroll around in the open air and do your shopping while you get to know the area, we recommend any of these shopping streets in Lanzarote: Calle Real in Arrecife, Calle Limones in Playa Blanca and Avenida de las Playas in Puerto del Carmen.
