Haría

What to see and do in Haría!

This town in the north of Lanzarote is the centre of tourism on the island. Here we can admire the Valley of the Thousand Palm Trees, the nickname by which the municipality is known, from the Mirador de los Helechos, as well as visit the House-Museum of César Manrique. There are also two of the most important places you cannot miss on your holiday: Jameos del Agua and Cueva de los Verdes. These enclaves, which share the same volcanic tube, will not leave you indifferent. On the one hand, Jameos del Agua with its multiple pools and Auditorium that give home to small white crabs: a space in which volcanic nature is combined with the art of Manrique. A few metres further up and sharing the same riverbed is Cueva de los Verdes: here we will enter the earth to discover the secrets of the eruption of the La Corona Volcano and marvel at this work of art reconditioned by the Lanzarote artist. Two must-sees on your visit to the island! Finally, don't forget to visit Mirador del Río from where you can see the Chinijo archipelago (La Graciosa and the islets).
