Opening hours in Lanzarote

It is important to start by saying that in Lanzarote there is no regular commercial opening time, so it will depend on whether we are going to a big area, an avenue or a supermarket. But if we have to talk in general terms we can say that shops are usually open from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 - 20:00, public offices, as well as banks and offices have a schedule from Monday to Friday from 08:00 - 15:00 and restaurants in terms of lunch and dinner could be said to be open from Monday to Sunday from 13:00 - 23:00.

If we speak in a little more detail, it is worth noting that the shops in areas such as the avenues usually have a split schedule from Monday to Saturday from 09:00 - 13:00 and 16:00 - 21:00 unless the establishment is in a tourist area where it is increasingly common to open throughout the day.

On the other hand, if we refer to Shopping Centres, they are open every day except Sundays from 09:00 - 21:00. It is important to remember that commercial establishments such as shops, pharmacies, cinemas are usually closed on holidays, so we recommend you to keep an eye on the calendar if you are planning a visit.

However, when it comes to restaurants, we find that they have longer opening hours, many restaurants are open every day, especially if they are located in tourist transit areas. The best time range for lunch is from 13:00 - 15:00 and for dinner we recommend going between 19:00 - 22:00.  Also the cafeterias are usually open every day although their schedule can vary in a general way from 09:00 to 19:00.

It is difficult to know the exact timetables of the churches, as these are quite variable and irregular. You should also know that some museums, for example, only open at certain times of the day, so it is important that you look at the opening hours before you go. And unlike everything else, theme parks are open all year round and only close on some holidays.

Also, for those looking for nightlife, you should know that discos and clubs usually open between 10pm and 11pm, but it is not until after midnight that they fill up.
